elevation of 4,811 meters, is the third highest peak in Iran after Mount Damavand and Mount Alam-Kuh. It offers a wide range of tourist attractions. From ski resorts to natural hot springs and hiking trails, Mount Sabalan has something for everyone. Interestingly, Mount Sabalan used to be an active volcano, but it has been dormant for many years. It boasts a cool climate and lush meadows, which attract many visitors during the warm summer days.<\/p><p>Mount Sabalan has three notable peaks. The largest one is called Sultan Savalan, and the other two peaks are named Heram and Kasra. Sabalan is an extinct volcanic mountain that stretches from the Qarah Soo Valley in the northwest of Ardabil to Mount Qoshadagh in the east-west direction. It&#8217;s worth mentioning that the volcanic cone of Sabalan, with an area of 1,200 square kilometers, is covered by surface
